Senior Manager of Content Marketing at Owlet Baby Care

Owlet Baby Care is a venture-backed startup based in Lehi, Utah, just outside of Salt Lake City. It was founded in 2013 by a team of passionate parents who launched a groundbreaking product called the Owlet Smart Sock. This market-exclusive innovation tracks the heart and oxygen levels of newborns and notifies parents via smartphone if levels leave preset ranges. Owlet’s mission is to empower parents with the right information at the right time, and our vision is for every family to have peace of mind when they take their baby home from the hospital – this is where you come in.

We’re searching for a qualified individual who is as passionate as us about the Owlet mission to join our Marketing team as our new Senior Manager of Content Marketing.

Here’s what we’ll find on our newest hire’s resume:

  • A background and skill set that stands out above our other candidates
  • College degree or equivalent marketing, social media, writing, advertising, or creative experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a marketing, writing, or creative role
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter)
  • Proven knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite/Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Proven experience being an expert writer and communicator for consumer brands
  • Experience with working well in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Basic graphic design experience
  • Proven ability to thrive at the intersection of data and creativity
  • History of successfully managing cross-functional projects
  • Proven history of collaborative leadership
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) experience
  • Experience launching multi-channel marketing campaigns

Here’s how you’ll help fulfill Owlet’s vision with this role:

  • You’ll define the content strategy and drive development of customer-facing content for Owlet Baby Care, supporting US sales growth, international expansion, and new product adoption
  • You’ll have elite video production and copywriting abilities and you’ll excel at time management and collaboration with creative and design teams. You’ll write copy for all types of customer-facing collateral, including long form, blog posts, packaging, point of purchase, and digital properties
  • You’ll push to achieve business objectives by merging strategic and creative points of view to produce content that elevates our brand and enhances consumers’ experiences
  • You’ll gain a deep understanding of the consumer benefits of various Owlet products and develop engaging, conversion-driving content for multiple cultures, geographies, personas, and customer segments
  • You’ll drive big-picture strategy but not be afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
  • You’ll own the content production process, get buy-in from various stakeholders, and hit deadlines
  • You’ll manage external creative partners and agencies within budget to augment internal copywriting, graphic design, and videography resources
