Director of Customer Care at Owlet Baby Care

Owlet Baby Care is a venture-backed startup based in Lehi, Utah, just outside of Salt Lake City. It was founded in 2013 by a team of passionate parents who launched a groundbreaking product called the Owlet Smart Sock. This market-exclusive innovation tracks the heart and oxygen levels of newborns and notifies parents via smartphone if levels leave preset ranges. Owlet’s mission is to empower parents with the right information at the right time, and our vision is for every family to have peace of mind when they take their baby home from the hospital – this is where you come in.

We’re searching for a qualified individual who is as passionate as us about the Owlet mission to join our Operations team as our new Director of Customer Care at our office in Lehi, Utah.

  • A background and skill set that stands out above our other candidates
  • Minimum of 10 years of domestic and international customer service management experience for premium consumer brands
  • Four-year university degree 
  • Demonstrated experience for creating and implementing a vision of an exceptional customer journey
  • Proven leadership track record and history of managing internal and external resources for exceptional results
  • Refined leadership, management, coaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing environments, updated product requirements, and dynamic iteration
  • Technical and information systems aptitude
  • Ability to relate to and communicate Owlet’s mission internally and externally to inspire the highest performance and outcomes
  • Proven ability to multitask and think critically
  • Ability to work effectively with senior management

Here’s how you’ll help fulfill Owlet’s vision with this role:

  • Own the vision, strategy, and implementation of a world-class post-purchase customer journey
  • Inspire and influence the entire Owlet organization to craft exceptional customer experience in all areas that customers interact with
  • Manage in-house and third-party customer care resources and associated budgets to optimize value creation for Owlet’s business
  • Serve as an internal communication hub to Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations teams to advance the goals of the customer care organization
  • Analyze service levels and team performance to drive improvement in KPIs and close performance gaps
  • Report to management on service levels, customer and market trends, and state of the brand in the marketplace
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
