We are looking for a lead Data Warehouse engineer (or hands-on manager) to improve and scale our business analytics. One of Kindred’s values is to “Quantify” and this position is instrumental in enabling us to live this value.
This position is in our San Francisco office and will work closely with a team in Toronto that will be primarily responsible for producing the data feed APIs

Help us to significantly grow our fleet of robots in the field and every department will have their own questions they need to answer with data
You will provide tools to Business Analysts across Sales, Product, Operations and Engineering and reports that the Executives will use to drive the business
You will be responsible for Kindred’s data warehouse solution and ETL pipelines that feed it
Have a passion for solving business problems with data
Can work independently and with minimal direction from management
You are driven to develop your requirements and goals by understanding the needs of your internal customers
Can communicate equally well with engineers and members of less technical disciplines
Have experience architecting Data Warehouse solutions from the ground up
Can communicate with a remote team that will be providing the majority of the data your system consumes
Have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience
Possess very strong SQL and command of one modern programming language
Exhibit strong software development fundamentals in your work
Have experience with a variety of database and queuing servers
Have experience with big data tools such as Hadoop/Hive/Spark or hosted equivalents
Have experience working in cloud environments
Are interested in owning the configuration and release process of your solution using configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef or Terraform.
