Sr Financial Analyst at Owlet Baby Care

SUMMARY: The Sr. Financial Analyst will be an integral part of the finance and accounting team and report to the Manager of FP&A. The Sr. Financial Analyst will assist with the preparation of financial reports, Board of Directors materials, monthly financial analysis materials, administer adaptive insights, ad hoc analysis, and provide operational support to Product Engineering.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with budget vs actual analysis for presentation to management and budget owners
  • Assist annual budget process
  • Review data entered and work with assigned department managers to ensure accuracy
  • Lead budget-to-actual reconciliation meetings with assigned department heads
  • Experience with planning software (ie Adaptive Insights)
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support
  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
  • Analyze financial data – and create financial models for decision support
  • Dashboard reporting on financial performance and preparation for regular management reviews
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommending actions for optimization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PPT is required; knowledge of data query/data management tools extremely needed (Access, SQL, etc.)

 REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA, BS degree required (Accounting/Finance/Economics)
  • 2-3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • Consumer products experience desirable
  • High proficiency with financial modeling and techniques
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
